We are built first and foremost for professional resellers and marketplaces: boutiques, online consignment, platforms and structured sellers.
What types of items and brands can you authenticate? expand_more
We focus on luxury goods from major Maisons and established high-end brands. The precise scope (categories, sub-categories, brands) is detailed on our What We Authenticate page.
Are you independent from brands, platforms or inventory flows? expand_more
Yes. We:
- Do not buy or sell inventory.
- Do not take commission on sales.
- Do not receive incentives linked to a specific verdict.
Our sole role is to examine the available evidence, apply our methodology and record an independent result.
What happens if you cannot reach a confident verdict? expand_more
If the photos, condition or item context do not allow for a reliable conclusion:
- We may request additional photos or information.
- If doubt remains, we will mark the case as inconclusive and decline to issue a certificate. You will be refunded the full amount.
We prefer an honest “undetermined” outcome over a weak or speculative verdict.
How it Works
Do I need to ship my item? expand_more
No. The service is 100% remote and based on photos.
Can one certificate cover multiple items? expand_more
No. Each certificate corresponds to one specific item with its own unique ID, characteristics and verdict.
What kind of photos do you need, and do I need a professional camera? expand_more
You don’t need professional equipment. Clear, high-resolution smartphone photos in neutral lighting are usually sufficient. During the request, the portal tells you exactly which angles and close-ups to take (overall views, markings, hardware, serial/date codes, interior, etc.).
What if my photos are still not good enough? expand_more
We pause the review and ask for additional angles or clearer photos. We do not issue a verdict until we have sufficient visual evidence.
How long does it take? expand_more
Most certificates are issued within 24 hours after we receive complete photos and information for the item.
What happens if the verdict is inconclusive? expand_more
“Inconclusive” is used rarely and only when the photo evidence does not allow a safe decision. In this case, no certificate is issued and you are refunded in full.
Do you use AI to make the decision? expand_more
No. While technology may support the workflow, the final decision is always made by a human expert in France with years of experience.

The Certificate
Is the certificate valid indefinitely? expand_more
The certificate does not expire. It reflects our assessment at the time of issue, based on the data available. Updates to the record are reflected instantly on the verification page.
What if I lose my PDF copy? expand_more
If you are the holder of the certificate you can re-download it from your Very Véritable account at any time.
Can a certificate ever be changed? expand_more
In rare cases (for example, correction of a clear error), we may update a certificate record after internal review. Any change is applied to the canonical record and will appear on the verification page.
